Praise the Lord, tell everyone about His marvellous deeds in this world. Isaiah 12:4 Thank the Lord! Praise His name! Tell the nations what He has done. Having read, in detail, this verse from my daily readings and the explanation that came with it, it really came home to me. It increased my desires to let the world know what God has done. A simple verse from the Bible has the ability to fill ones heart with joy, peace and love. He who created the Bible is the King of joy, peace and love. It is by this word that we are strengthened and encouraged to follow His path, even at difficult times. “ A famous violinist, Fritz Kreisler, played concerts all over the world and earned large sums of money. Through his generosity he gave much to the less well off. Whilst on tour he found an outstanding violin and he decided to buy it. When he had managed to get the money together, he returned to the seller, only to be told, that it had been sold to a collector. Kreisler didn’t give up and he eventually found the new owner. He, however, had no intention of selling it and depriving his collection of such a magnificent item. Deeply saddened, Kreisler asked if he would be allowed to play the instrument, just once, before it was designated to being permanently silent. The collector agreed and immediately the house was filled with the most perfect melody. The amazed collector told Kreisler, that he had no right to keep the violin and that it was Kreisler’s role to take the violin, tour the world and let everyone hear its beauty.” According to the Bible, a Christian must be a good “musician”, so that the world can hear God’s word and get to know Him. A Christian doesn’t need to be a “collector”, because the Lord does not appreciate silence. He disapproves of all those who remain silent, thus removing the opportunity of somebody to hear that wonderfully touching, perfect music. Naomi Penza
