Contrust 1Peter 1:8-9 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. What is Contrust? What does it mean? We have decided to give ourselves a name. This allows people around us to be curious, encourages them to ask questions and talk about us. We thought of the name Contrust and it really has two meanings:- * Contrast: we wish to be different from the “run of the mill” youngsters in this world * Contrust: trust in English means faith, therefore with faith, so our group of youngsters adopted that name and we became the Contrust group. We felt the need to meet. We meet together to study, to pray, to go on trips (e.g. to Pazzon at the weekend), to eat together and to sing. We always meet on Saturday evenings, one Saturday we study, the following Saturday we play box games, watch a film or have a drink together. Our Objectives First and foremost we want the Contrust group to grow in numbers, primarily through our closest friends or our class/university colleagues joining. Secondly, we want to be active (materially and financially) to help achieve the objective of a new church, (we pray it will come soon). It would be wonderful to have our own room, with space to study, enjoy ourselves and be together: a true place of our own. Just to let you know that if you are a youngster, are over 15 and unmarried, you are welcome to join us.
